Description
My own version of "Alice in Wonderland," Mexican style! I actually wore that dress when I was in pre-school when I lived in Mexico. The jaguar (Cheshire Cat) and the rabbit are inspired by Mayan artwork. This was part of an assignment in which we were given three objects (a plastic pickle, a photograph of a church and a plastic smile for me). We were allowed to do whatever we wanted, and I'm quite satisfied with it.

Mucho Gusto! I love how you've mixed Mexican folk art and an English children's story. Have you considered other artworks in this vein, perhaps exploring the parallels between the Mexican class struggle and the Class warfare in England during the nineteenth and twentieth century?
Also, you should totally do the Jaberwocky in this style - that'd be sooo keen! Maybe you can juxtapose it with Mayan and Aztec religious symbolism - like combining the Jaberwocky and central american religious rites?
